I love selling new homes! Maybe it’s the smell of the new paint and carpet (like the leather smell of a new car – I love that smell!), or getting to constantly preview new and different floor plans with my clients every week, or the satisfaction of watching the smiles on the wife’s face as she picks out all her decorating schemes and gets EXACTLY everything she ever wanted in her new home! Maybe it’s the fact that, because of my extensive knowledge of the new home Builders’ product, discounts/incentive programs, and my rapport with the “on-site” sales agents, I have on numerous occasions been able to negotiate better deals than on a resale home. Maybe it’s because my clients know that I offer something very, very, few REALTORS do on a new home sell – on-site walk-through and inspections during the construction. Or maybe it’s because 70% of all the homes I’ve sold since 1989 have been new or custom homes, and 80% of my past client’s referrals have been for new or custom homes, and those sales have put a lot of bread on my family’s table! I think it’s a little of all of the above!

When I started my company, Showcase of Homes, in 1989, and located it in the largest mall in Austin – Barton Creek Square – I had one purpose in mind, and that was to do exactly as the name implies – give the public the opportunity to preview new homes in a “showcase” environment, look at the models, preview the floor plans, all in one place, and without the hassle of getting the “sales pitch” from the Builder’s salesperson! Well today, Showcase of Homes is still affording you that opportunity, and you don’t even have to go to the Mall! Below, every production ($100,000-$400,000) and customized (a production Builder that will modify or “customize” an existing floor plan from $400,000-$600,000) new home Builder in Austin is listed, in no particular order, along with their web sites.
